Born during Cardassian occupation of Bajor. Parents lied to authorities, said he was stillborn, bribed a Yridian trader to smuggle the infant Gerron Enek off-world to Ronara. The deception was later detected, the family slain in retaliation.
Grew up an orphan on Ronara. Shy and withdrawn, displayed strong interest in sciences, particularly astrophysics and quantum mechanics. Application for undergraduate study at Daystrom Institute rejected, 2369, shortly before Ronara became caught in the Federation-Cardassian Demilitarized Zone. Was recruited by the Maquis in 2370.
Served under Chakotay (see file) as crewman on Maquis ship, which was lost in the Badlands in 2371. This ship was being sought by the U.S.S. Voyager when the Voyager lost contact with Starfleet on stardate 48307.5. Since recent re-establishment of contact with Voyager, it has been learned that the Maquis personnel have been integrated with the surviving Voyager crew in the Delta Quadrant.
Gerron recruited into service on Voyager as auxiliary enlisted crewman, serving as science lab intern. Initial reports unsatisfactory: "shy and withdrawn, unmotivated, lacking in social skills."
Entered Starfleet field training program led by Voyager security chief Tuvok, stardate 48846. Successfully completed training. Currently serving on Voyager in stellar cartography and as relief communications technician.
